Overview of Harmony House

A delightful property on the stunning west coast of Barbados.  Styled in coral stone and nestled in lush verdant tropical gardens, Harmony House offers its guests unparallel privacy and comfort, all while remaining in an excellent location for beach access and the azure blue waters of the Caribbean beyond.

Priding itself in providing excellent service from the attentive staff, who will do their utmost to ensure your stay is as comfortable and relaxing as it can be.  Holetown and Speightstown are a short distance away and provide a haven of shops, bars and restaurants during the day and into the evening too.

Conveniently located for sports and activities too, with the Royal Westmoreland providing world-class golf, and the Sandy Lane Hotel is also in striking distance, providing tennis, a spa and other facilities.  Harmony house remains a fantastic choice for those looking for convenient beachfront accommodation and high levels of service.

Bedrooms

There are three bedrooms in the property, all with air conditioning, en-suite facilities and their own balconies, providing the perfect place to have that morning cup of tea or coffee, or enjoy a book in peace and quiet. Locally influenced artwork and bright colors offset the traditional white in all rooms’ decorations.

Situated upstairs, the master bedroom features a king-size bed and a generous en-suite bathroom, which also includes an outside shower.

Both Bedroom 2 and 3 have twin beds that can be pushed together and their own en-suites, with the second bedroom featuring an outdoor shower. The third bedroom is downstairs, where along with the dedicated en-suite there is also a further powder room.

Communal Areas

The main living areas are spacious and tastefully decorated, with island influences and artwork, along with splashes of colour. The lounge opens onto a covered patio area through double French doors. It features a built-in wet bar, a plunge pool, and space for al-fresco dining, accommodating up to 10 people.

At night this patio transforms into something truly magical, an oasis of light provided by handmade copper lanterns and candles burning in sconces – an great place to relax with friends or make yourself a tipple.

In front of the patio is a cool shady garden area which opens out onto the sands of Gibbs Beach, where you can enjoy a wander with the sand between your toes to the nearby Mullins Beach Bar, or indulge in a swim or some snorkelling.

The pool is 9ft x 9ft and stands at a constant 6ft deep, great for taking the edge off during a hot day in the sunshine.

Staff at Harmony House

The small but dedicated staff includes a maid/laundress and a cook who will prepare you three meals a day.  There is also a gardener in attendance and a night watchman who also oversees the villa next-door.

Please note that our housekeepers are not trained nannies and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants and children. If you do make babysitting arrangements with the staff, please be advised this is at your own risk.

The levy on accommodation, collected in resort, will cost between US$2.50 (£1.90) and $17.50 (£14.50 for 5* Hotels) per room per night.
