Overview of Glitter Bay Estate

Newly refurbished, the Glitter Bay Estate is a colonial style development with Spanish influences.  Located in Porters, St James, the property is ideal for those wanting to have a fun and relaxing holiday in the sun, with the beach right on your doorstep and tropical gardens all around you.

The beautifully manicured grounds are home to a freshwater pool, over which guests have a glorious view from their own private luxury apartments.  For those wanting to spend the day at the beach, you have full use of the beach towels, loungers and umbrellas.

The resort is the ideal destination for families too, with baby sitting services available to keep the little ones occupied while the adults can enjoy some water sports such as snorkelling, diving and deep sea fishing, or make use of the on-site tennis court.  You can even venture elsewhere for a game of golf at the Royal Westmoreland or Sandy Lane.

Situated in blocks, the villas and apartments at Glitter Bay are light and airy, with units 202 and 412 offering light, airy accommodations. Nearby Holetown to the south offers excellent dining and shopping. Just 10 minutes to the north, you will find yourself in Speightstown, where you can experience a more authentic flavor of the island.

Elevators are available in the resort for ease of access. Please note that we do not permit smoking in the apartments.

Bedrooms

The Glitter Bay apartments offer two bedrooms and provide the option to rent either the full unit with both bedrooms or, in some cases, just a single bedroom.

There are stunning views from the bedroom balconies that overlook the tropical landscaped gardens as well as partial sea views for enjoying the spectacular sunsets.

Communal Areas

An open plan apartment design maximises space, with the kitchen/living area leading through to the balcony off of the dining room where again you can enjoy the fabulous views.  A well-equipped standard of accommodation with a host of conveniences including cable TV and WiFi access to keep you connected with the world outside Barbados.

Staff

A minimal staff is provided that can range from a simple housekeeping service to meal preparation offering two consecutive meals a day – breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner to suit your preference.

Please note that our housekeepers are not trained nannies and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants and children. If you do make babysitting arrangements with the staff, please be advised this is at your own risk.

The levy on accommodation, collected in resort, will cost between US$2.50 (£1.90) and $17.50 (£14.50 for 5* Hotels) per room per night.
